Saigon-classifieds.com is primarily launched to make interaction a tad easier for expatriates in Ho Chi Minh City. Of course, it's open for other interested parties as well. The site is managed and maintained by Proformica Marketing Consultants.

Who can advertise?

The site aims to provide private persons a venue to advertise. However, commercial and/or non-profit organizations are welcome to use the service too, as long as the ads are accurate, free from lengthy marketing drivel and within reason in any other sense of the word. If they're not, we will remove the ad(s) without further ado and without neither compensation nor notification.

For instance, fishy job offers that comes from outside Vietnam and doesn't even have a telephone number in Vietnam will be removed automatically.

Registering as user:

To give your advertisements highest possible credibility, it is always best to use your real name in all situations. That said, there might be circumstances when someone wish to use a nickname. If so, please do.

Your e-mail address:

The e-mail address you provide must be an actual, working address and reachable at all times. In case we are trying to contact you and the mails are bouncing back due e.g. non-existing recipient, full mailbox quota or any other reason, you account at www.saigon-classifieds.com will be terminated and all your advertisements will be removed from the system without further notice and without any compensation.

As we are actively fighting spam, we will consequently never hand over your e-mail address to anyone else.

Be safe: Log out!

This is something you should make into a habit regardless of which web site you are logged in to; When you have finished your visit, log out to prevent other people from accidentally or deliberately accessing your account. While most sites, as this, are placing a cookie in the computer that will automatically log you out after a certain time of inactivity, there is no guarantee that it will work flawlessly.

In case someone else has accessed you account and tampered with your advertisements, we will not be held responsible.

Publishing period:

All classified advertisements are published 90 days and then automatically removed. Five (05) days prior to expiration, a reminding e-mail will be sent to the address of the person who placed the order. This is done automatically by the system, and we can not be held responsible in case the mail never reaches the recipient.

Texts:

All texts must be in the English language. Advertisements in any other language and placed without our consent will be removed. No reimbursement or compensation will be offered.

Images:

Attached images can be max 700 pixels wide or 500 pixels high, or max 50Kb, whichever limit is reached first.

Advertisement submitter's responsibility

While we are responsible for the general content of this web site, the content of each specific advertisement is the sole responsibility of the submitting individual. It is his/her duty to provide truthful, adequate descriptions, attributes and pictures in the advertisements.

Fraud:

While the saigon-classifieds.com will do everything within its power to prevent this site from becoming a venue for scam artists, we can not be held responsible for any fraudulent behavior conducted by any user.

If you have been the target of fraud through this web site, we urge you to contact us immediately and we will do our utmost to help the police authorities apprehend the offender.

Offensive, illegal advertisements:

We are not accepting advertisements that are offensive, provoking, illegal, intimidating or in any other way not in accordance to common respectful, courteous and civil manners. Any such advertisement will be removed without delay and without any form of reimbursement or compensation.

Further on, saigon-classifieds.com is in close co-operation with the Ho Chi Minh Police Authority and will instantly remove any advertisement that we suspect is offering stolen goods, contraband or is in one way or another the channel for illegal activities. No compensation or reimbursement will be offered.

Hacking, force majeur, etc:

This site is hosted by Kualo.com which provides the best available security and maximum server uptime. However, there are individuals that have devoted their time to break the security of web sites to manipulate the content, and there are other incidents beyond our control that might affect the site, such as power failure, strike or war.

Therefore, we are backing up the site on a daily basis which means that we will always have a complete copy of the site and the database that is 24 hour old or less.
